Artwork Description

Two fragments of a female figure occupy a psychological interior structured by large geometric planes of muted green, tan and smoky blue. A charged connection unfolds between the back of a torso and an outstretched hand reaching towards a glimpse of thigh and crossed legs, recalling the gesture in Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam. Yet here the moment of contact has already taken place. The composition holds a memory: different views of a single remembered presence, incomplete but still vivid. It is an acrylic on canvas, finished with white edges and a gloss varnish, signed and ready to hang.

Artist Bio

In the studio, vibrant explorations of form and memory come to life. An Australian artist with Irish ancestry, Glenn draws on Celtic mythology and the decorative language of Pop Art to create figurative works that engage the timeless allure of the female nude as a symbol of life-force and sexuality. His paintings balance sensual vitality with mythic resonance, revealing beauty as something discovered, not invented; embodied, not schematic. He has twice won the Bundaberg City Council Art Award and has been a finalist in several national art awards. His works are held in private, public, and corporate collections in Australia and internationally.
