Artwork Description

Bathed in strong light, a red-haired nymph crouches in the shallows. Her pale skin glows against the cool hues of the water, capturing a fleeting moment between stillness and motion. One hand drifts just beneath the surface to steady her, while the other reaches out—poised, perhaps, to stir the water or beckon the unseen. There is a quiet tension in her pose, a balance between vulnerability and grace, as though she might vanish with the next ripple. It is an acrylic on stretched canvas, finished with white edges and a gloss varnish, signed and ready to hang.

Artist Bio

In the studio, vibrant explorations of form and memory come to life. An Australian artist with Irish ancestry, Glenn draws on Celtic mythology and the decorative language of Pop Art to create figurative works that engage the timeless allure of the female nude as a symbol of life-force and sexuality. His paintings balance sensual vitality with mythic resonance, revealing beauty as something discovered, not invented; embodied, not schematic. He has twice won the Bundaberg City Council Art Award and has been a finalist in several national art awards. His works are held in private, public, and corporate collections in Australia and internationally.
