Artwork Description

Kapi (water) is essential to helping plants, animals and people thrive here in Kaltukatjara, In this painting, a rockhole is at the centre surrounded by tali (sandhills) celebrating the significance of water. The rockhole is a life source for all living things among the tali.

Artist Bio

Glenys James is an established artist from Kaltukatjara (Docker River). Glenys paints important Tjukurpa (Dreaming) from around the Docker River area, including Seven Sisters and Kunga Kutjara.
