Artist Bio

Hello I am Gloria.
I have always loved art since I was a child, art to me is both inspirational and relaxing. It started as a hobby in between the multi activities of all of our lives, as children , as teenagers, adults and parents . Time to indulge ourselves in our art is sometimes limited, especially in this world turmoil , that we are all in together. Art can help share beauty, joy, culture and a sense of belonging, take care all of you. be strong, be happy , be proud. It is still a beautiful world
1 am of Aboriginal descent of the Dunghutti Tribal group located in the Macleay Valley, Kempsey , NSW. Australia. As a child I was made part of the Stolen Generation of Australia and was moved around a lot. I spent a large part of my adult life , living in outback Queensland, mostly around Mt Isa and Kajabbi areas.

Recently I have had the joy of reconnecting with my extended family and accepted back as a Dunghutti woman , their lost child of the tribe.
The spiritual connection between country, relatives and myself defines who I am as a person and artist.
I dedicate my artwork to my mother[ passed away in 1965] , who taught me to draw as a child.
