Artwork Description

This body of work explores the interior landscape of emotional experience โ€” the way feelings move through us not as single, contained moments, but as overlapping currents of energy, each with its own pull and rhythm. Working in mixed media, each piece is built through repeated spiralling gestures and layered mark-making, allowing compositions to emerge organically as one force influences another. Across the series, colour and mood shift โ€” from warm, charged centres of coral and amber to cooler expanses of blue and mauve โ€” tracing the full spectrum of inner states, from intensity to quiet dissolution. Taken together, the works form a kind of emotional atlas: an invitation to sit with complexity, and to recognise that within every inner storm there is also stillness, pattern, and an underlying order that holds everything together.

Artist Bio

I am a self-taught Australian artist whose practice centres on the inner world of human experience. Without formal training, I found my way to mark-making intuitively โ€” drawn to the meditative rhythm of layered gesture and the quiet language of colour. For me, making art has always been about reaching across the space between people; an attempt to give form to feelings that are difficult to name, in the hope that others might see something of themselves in the work. I am interested in what we share beneath the surface โ€” the emotional undercurrents that connect us even in solitude. My works are slow, considered, and built over time, much like the inner states they seek to reflect.
