Artwork Description

Some people thing that Eucalyptus trees are the most beautiful trees in the world. The central character in Murray Bail's Eucalyptus had plans to grow every single species - all 900 or so of them on his small property. They are of course magnificent and this painting is a dedication to their beauty!

Artist Bio

Graeme Whittle is a multi-award winning Australian artist, specialising in oils, watercolour and contemporary drawing. Currently living and working in Tasmania, Graeme has won a number of awards including the Tasmanian Art Award, Best Watercolour in the Burnie Art Prize and has been a five times finalist in the Glover Art Prize, Tasmania's premier art award. More recently he was awarded People's Prize at the prestigious Bay of Fires Art Award.

Graeme has a diploma of fine art from the University of Tasmania and has been represented across Australia and on the international stage. With an eye for fine detail and exceptional colour from the surrounding landscape, Graeme's work demonstrates the highest technical facility and exceptional creative talent which is truly unique.
