Artwork Description

There is more to Tasmania's Cradle Mountain than just the famous view across Dove Lake. In this painting I wanted to show , not just the mountain, but some of the surrounding landscape as well. I also wanted to present the landscape at different scales with the top image the most distant until at the bottom the viewer is looking just at mosses and lichens.
