The artworks are painted on Raw Thai Silk on board.
The silk is stretched, glued and sized over MDF board.
The sealing of the silk with Gesso protects the silk from damage by the oil paint.
The surface gives a rough "tooth" to the canvas. this allows me to drag the paint over the surface .
My idea. have not seen it used elsewhere.
Signed on the front.
This artwork comes with an external frame
A very colorful and decorative piece. lifts a room. There is always a pet in the studio somewhere. Pixie get in the way more often than not. Hence bound to end up in a picture eventually.
After 30 years of painting I can honestly say that these works are exceptionally good and totally on a level above what you see now days. Sounds like I'm bragging but, honestly, doing this for a lifetime, you know.
Most have been held over as part of my private collection.
I closed my studio and moved to the Coast. Not enough room.
