"Graphite" is a large abstract artwork which has been designed to capture structural almost architectural detail. The key to this painting is structure, design, and balance. The painting also shows a level of competition between the various colours, and the sections which have been muted.
Graphite has been constructed, then deconstructed in parts, and restructured to create a level of interest as the layers build up and interact.
The painting has been continued over onto the sides which adds another dimension to the artwork, and also means it does not need to be framed.
I have signed the painting and finished it off with several layers of matte coat to highlight the colours, and to protect the painting.
The above photos present Graphite in two orientations - I believe it looks great in either direction. Depending on your preference I will prepare the painting to be hung (I may also move the signature).
Note the images showing the painting mounted on the wall are for illustration purposes only. The correct measurements are provided below. A handy way of determining just how this sized painting will work in your space is to use blue tack dots or masking tape on your wall to plot out the border of the painting. This method gives you a realistic impression of how the painting will fit on your wall
