Artwork Description

Mixed Media on paper

Signed on the front.

Groupthink is a mode of thinking that people engage in when they are deeply involved in a cohesive in-groups, when the members' strivings for unanimity override their motivation to realistically appraise alternative courses of action. This work about the dance marathon phenomena alludes to the modern dance party and references the hysteria of the "Dance Plague" of 1518 by Breugel.

This is a romanticised view of wildlife in a natural setting. I have been focusing in my studio on interpreting experiences from my own life and my ancestors' social histories in utilizing traditional oil painting techniques. I am particularly interested in Baroque, C18th and C19th Realism and Romanticism. This art interest overlaps with my interest in Ancestral and Social History. Cool colour composition .
