Artwork Description

Part of my 'Road' series 'I thought it better not to fight' isolates a well worn and graffitied work van created from photos and sketches I made overseas. The artwork challenges the viewer to engage with everyday roadside subjects and to find the beauty in the colour and shape of these objects that would normally form part of the visual noise of their surrounds.

Framed with a quality Australian made Victorian Ash timber floating frame. The frame is unstained so you can stain to the colour to match your decor or leave as is in natural state

Artist Bio

With Tertiary education in Art, a successful award winning career in design, exhibiting at some of Melbourne's most interesting galleries the boxes are ticked.... But this is not an exercise in ticking boxes... painting stormwater drains as a kid in the 80s in Adelaide wasn't about box ticking, travelling to the Mojave desert to photograph what the American dream left behind wasn't about earning a dollar. I paint and photograph items, places and people that inspire and delight me. I create those images to show their beauty and that is delivered in a strong graphic nature be it through colour or composition. I hope they engage you, delight you, calm you or entertain you... if they do let me know.
