Artwork Description

Painting from a shot I took out of a window in SOHO NYC, some co-workers taking a break. The figures are painted on the lid of what I believe is a vintage wooden trumpet case. This piece sits really well with a collection of other art pieces around it.

With Tertiary education in Art, a successful award winning career in design, exhibiting at some of Melbourne's most interesting galleries the boxes are ticked.... But this is not an exercise in ticking boxes... painting stormwater drains as a kid in the 80s in Adelaide wasn't about box ticking, travelling to the Mojave desert to photograph what the American dream left behind wasn't about earning a dollar. I paint and photograph items, places and people that inspire and delight me. I create those images to show their beauty and that is delivered in a strong graphic nature be it through colour or composition.
