Artwork Description

This painting is of two women making their way down a steep street in Castelo De Vide, Portugal. I like the yellow and white paint schemes on the houses, the unusual letterboxes in the walls and laundry hanging above. Not shown here, many buildings have beautiful tiled exteriors and interiors. This painting sits inside a dark grey wooden frame and works brilliantly with light coloured walls.

Artist Bio

Greg Sage’s landscapes are rich in colour and beautifully detailed. Each work takes months to complete, every one is unique and based on direct observation or photographs that he has taken.
There is something meditative when viewing his work, of a place and time that will never be repeated showing the transient nature of our place.
Greg Sage has a studio on the Mornington Peninsula and his work reflects his love of this landscape and of his travels.
