Artwork Description

Melbourne has many laneways with colourful street art and a vibrant cafe scene. This painting is of Centre Place featuring a narrow bluestone lane lined with bustling cafes, with outdoor tables scattered about with people deep in conversation. Street art covers the walls - graffiti tags, and stencilled art adding energy and contrast. Cafe signs and light spilling from windows cast soft shadows enhancing the rich textures of the architecture and painted surfaces. The overall mood is lively yet intimate, perfectly reflecting Melbourne’s urban culture.
