I was fortunate to be able to travel through India and was taken by the people, sights and food. This painting is from a photograph I took of a spice stall in Bikaner, I was taken in by the colours and the amazing range of spices for sale.
Greg Sage’s landscapes are rich in colour and beautifully detailed. Each work takes months to complete, every one is unique and based on direct observation or photographs that he has taken. There is something meditative when viewing his work, of a place and time that will never be repeated showing the transient nature of our place. Greg Sage has a studio on the Mornington Peninsula and his work reflects his love of this landscape and of his travels.
