Artwork Description

A piece i did some years ago , about the ocean and beneath view in my mind of the movement and sun driven colours. the has been kept as part of my collection, looking for someone else to enjoy.

Artist Bio

A brush in hand, colours out of the tube, a thought, a vision tapped in my mind. The unseen then becomes the seen. Canvas or linen is now the backdrop for you, the viewer, to see the moment in time that has captured my thoughts. My unique interpretations of time, a mood, weather, a word, nature's mystic, abstract or impressionism are here for you to view.
I may think about an idea for a week or two before actually taking a brush or palette knife and letting spontaneity take over when putting paint to canvas.
Painting the same style over and over, isn't me, although, I believe my style of work is recognizable.
Hi, I'm Greg Stevenson. It would fantastic if one of my paintings found it's place in your home, collection, or office. Join my journey.
Some facts, born 1957in Brisbane. Did first portrait at aged 12 (1969, no formal art training or schooling) on one rainy day when bored, unbeknown to me, my mother kept it. Still have it today, framed , for keep sake. First jobs, worked as a showcard artist, then signcraftsmen. That was when everything was brushwork( no computers), 70's and 80's when I had my own business doing mainly Festival art and signage. 90's moved to the Sunshine Coast and had an art gallery in Coolum for a period and also exhibited in Hasting Street Noosa and Melbourne. my paintings have found their place on walls of collectors in Australia and overseas.
