Artwork Description

ORIGINAL MADE WITH LOVE
My love for turtles began with a marcasite necklace worn by my grandmother.

This artwork is my first including baby turtles and is named Makuahine which is the Hawaiian word for mother.

Known for symbolizing wisdom, protection, longevity and luck I have always been drawn to these beautiful creatures and what they represent. My happy place is at the beach which always provides inspiration from the patterns in the sand, curves of the seaweed, and intricate spirals of the shells. It is a very healing place.

- Mock up room photos may not be exact to scale so please measure your artwork space to compare to print size listed.

Artist Bio

Having sold my artwork in private studios & undertaking commissions since 2015 I am now dipping my toes into the online art world.
I paint intuitively using a layering process until inspiration hits and then the creative process takes over. I lose track of time whilst focused on beauty, balance, interest and most importantly meaning to my artwork. My intention is for the artwork is to bring joy, meaning and emotional resonance . I adore bright colours and am constantly inspired by natures patterns and rhythms.

My love of the ocean inspires many underwater/beach artwork pieces, with a special attraction towards sea turtles birds, and landscapes.

All of my paintings are in the highest quality acrylics, inks, canvas and pen ensuring depth of colour, great blends and longevity.

Whether you're looking for a statement piece, a heartfelt gift, or a custom commission, I’d love to hear from you.
