Hala Sekak is an abstract artist who specialises in resin art and is currently based in Melbourne. Halaβs early career started during her travels and stayed in the middle east and Turkey. Her artwork is wildly influenced by her Middle Eastern and Arabic roots.
She is excellent at noticing the beauty within everything and draws her inspiration from anything and everything around her, be it unnoticeable fallen autumn leaves, scraps of metal or a chunk of cement; or in nature, the human soul and behaviour, and life as it is.
She describes her inspiration process: β Whenever I close my eyes, colours and pictures flow in my mind to form a piece of art expressing my feelings and emotions.
I use brush strokes, my hands, sharp contrasting dark and light tones to express my feelings, imaginations, my love, dreams, soul, and memories on a canvas or wooden board.β
Her art is an immersive symphony of feelings, love and expression, and it brings her joy to share it with everyone around her.
