Artwork Description

Samuel enjoys spending late Saturday afternoons in the courtyard discussing deep philosophical topics with his friend The Goat. The neighbourhood Leopard can be spotted hanging about on the balcony above listening to their theories and thoughts but she doesn't provide any input, preferring to observe and absorb.

It can be good to unwind at the end of a long week with a few friends, either of the pet or human variety and discuss topics outside the working week. One can gaze upon this painting and perhaps make some new friends and join in the conversation - a conversation you can join in anytime you feel like and perhaps ponder the wonders of the universe.

Measurements indicate paper edge to paper edge. There is an aesthetic white border around the painting. The painted image measures 38.4cm x 26cm.

Artist Bio

I create art with a story in mind using vibrant colours and patterns. I'm inspired by children's picture books with detailed and colourful illustrations. My childhood favourites were Graeme Base (Animalia) and Vivienne Goodman (Guess What? - Mem Fox). Flowers, fruit, plants, the ocean, animals and people are my favourite subjects to paint. I'm also inspired by street art, surf/skate culture, vintage photographs and scientific illustrations, and advertisements from the art deco era.

I'm always working on something. I take care and time with every single one of my artworks so check back regularly for something new!
