Artwork Description

Inspired by a legend of a time when women were birds whose song awakened the day. This picture is a contemplation of beauty, of essences and the timelessness of song.

Artist Bio

Hannah Massey is a mixed media artist based in Northern NSW, Australia.

Her works tend to hover in the space just outside of our immediate consciousnesses. They can be dreamlike or embedded with mythical themes and images. They can be playful or absurd. But ultimately they are Hannah's own humble attempt at understanding what it means to be a human.

Having completed a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art and Visual Culture) from Curtin University, WA, Hannah is now happily painting in her studio surrounded by trees and brush turkeys.
