Artwork Description

The artwork, Lazy Irises, as inspired by Vincent van Gogh, is painted in acrylic. Each iris petal in the painting is unique, featuring different shading, shape and size. The free flowing leaves and the flowers from the vase will bring a style in your room that the great artist painted with his passion. I used simple brush strokes to put layers of paints which bring the depth of various shades of blue. This painting will brighten your room with its own artistic sensibility. The sides of the canvas are neatly painted.

Artist Bio

"Hope in Every Hue" - Sharing Connection and Compassion Through Canvas

I am a self-taught Australian visual artist, a passionate painter and poetry writer whose creative path gained momentum since several decades, and I began exhibiting professionally during the COVID-19 pandemic. My work is rooted in memory, imagination, and a deep emotional connection with the natural world.

As a traveller, dreamer, and nature enthusiast, I create impressionistic landscapes inspired by rivers, lakes, wildflowers, and places that live both in the world and in the heart. My art invites viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with nature, with emotion, and with their inner landscape. I primarily work with oil and acrylic on stretched canvas, while also exploring paper, pottery, wood, and metal as expressive surfaces.

As part of Australia’s vibrant creative community, I believe in the healing power of art. Through my work, I strive to share hope, connection, and compassion, particularly in support of mental wellbeing. I regularly donate proceeds from my art sales to charitable causes to contribute to mental health charity through my art.

For me, creativity is not only a personal refuge, but also a way to give back and help others find light through colour and canvas.
