Artwork Description

"Euphoria" captures a fleeting moment where chaos and serenity exist together in perfect harmony. Vibrant monarch butterflies drift through an energetic web of expressive lines and spontaneous splashes, symbolising transformation, freedom, and the beauty found within movement and unpredictability.
Set against a calming sky-blue backdrop, the artwork balances bold abstraction with delicate detail, drawing the viewer into a world that feels both uplifting and deeply alive. The contrast between the raw gestural markings and the graceful butterflies creates a sense of emotional release — a visual expression of joy, awakening, and possibility.
This original contemporary artwork is designed to become a statement piece within a modern interior, bringing energy, colour, and conversation into the space. "Euphoria" invites collectors to experience a feeling rather than simply observe an image — a reminder of growth, freedom, and the exhilaration of becoming.
Perfect for collectors of contemporary abstract art seeking a work that is expressive, vibrant, and emotionally resonant.

Artist Bio

Haydn Englander-Porter is an Australian contemporary artist known for creating large, dramatic, abstract and figurative paintings.
His artworks feature in beautiful galleries, open living spaces and hang on the walls of corporate businesses around the world. A visionary artist whose works transcend conventional boundaries to explore the profound depths of human experience and the natural world. His art serves as a bridge between the tangible and the ethereal, inviting viewers to embark on a journey of introspection and discovery. Through a masterful blend of colours, form and texture, he creates art pieces that resonate with emotional intensity and intellectual curiosity. Haydn's dedication to the world of art is evident in every stroke of his brush and every detail of his compositions.

Originating from Melbourne, Australia, Haydn studied at the Melbourne School of Art then furthered his studies in Architectural rendering and perspective. He now resides and works from his studios on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, also producing in England and The United States of America (New York City). With a career spanning over three decades, he has continually evolved his artistic practice both locally and internationally, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of sources including nature, philosophy, travel and personal narrative. His work is celebrated for its dynamic interplay of light and shadow, its intricate layering, and its ability to convey complex themes with clarity and grace.

Haydn Englander-Porter is widely recognised for his “Blue Trees" series of artworks, butterflies and bird paintings, and large-scale abstract artworks using mediums of both acrylics and oils. He also works with a mix of oil stick, oil and acrylic paints, seeking to create bold colours and wildly imaginative fragmented facial compositions blending surrealism with abstract cubism.
He is a yearly contender in the Australian Archibald Prize portraiture competition and his commitment goes beyond the canvas; he is deeply engaged in the artistic community, frequently collaborating with various galleries and always looking at collaborative projects. He believes in the transformative power of art and strives to create pieces that not only captivate the eye but also speak to the soul. Through his relentless pursuit of excellence and his unwavering passion for creativity, Haydn has firmly established himself as a dedicated and influential figure in the contemporary art world. He says; “Art is about life, we live it, we breathe it, it’s everywhere and I just want the world to know my work”.
