Artwork Description

The ground was covered in fallen bark, each piece weathered differently by time and exposure. Variations in colour, thickness and texture created a natural composition that felt deliberate despite occurring entirely on its own. The irregular peelings, shaped by wind, heat and age, were impossible to ignore.

Artist Bio

Hi, I’m Hayley. I live and paint on Dharawal Country, tucked inside one of the most visually stunning parts of Australia - The Royal National Park.

I’m deeply drawn to Australia’s native flora. Its resilience, beauty, and tenacity command my respect. Its beauty is not delicate; it’s a triumph born from harsh conditions. Even in the face of fire, it doesn’t just survive, it thrives.

Painting is my reset button. In a world that rarely pauses, creating gives me space to breathe, disconnect from the noise, and reconnect with calm.

My art connects me with great people, and that’s a big part of why I keep doing it.

If you’re thinking about buying my work, buy it because it speaks to you. Because it makes you feel something real. Because it belongs in your space.
