About: Fine Art Acrylic on Canvas painting of a Black Shouldered Kite. Inspired to paint this bird as I was longing to find one to photograph. unable to locate one I decided the closest I am going to get to one is to paint one. Coincidentally once I finished this painting we had 2 of them appear on one of my regular walking tracks.

Framed in a slim wrap around Tasmanian Oak Frame.

I'm a mum to two young children, I paint or draw every chance I get. I began drawing horses and cartoon characters such as Garfield when I was 12 back in 1992. I am self taught and it has always been my passion and my dream to be a successful, professional artist.
I'm inspired and driven by nature, our Australian beaches, landscapes, wildlife and modern architecture. I have a passion for fine art and fine details as I feel it brings art to life and I have more recently discovered a love for capturing emotion in my work. I put my heart and soul into every piece and I always try to add interest into my drawings and paintings wether it be from up close or far away. My 2 main mediums are mostly acrylic or oil on canvas or coloured pencil, but I'm not afraid to experiment with new media, techniques, subjects and textures. I also work with resin and a bit of fluid art when I feel like loosening up and experimenting a little.
