Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
The inspiration for this painting came from a bunch of sunflowers given to me by my daughter-in-law from her garden. The bright yellow faces of the sunflowers among the bright green of the leaves were too stunning to ignore. I took individual photos of several of the flower heads and buds and arranged them in the composition of the finished painting. I wanted the leaves to take second place and fade into the background a little so they wouldn’t compete with the happy sunflower faces.
Oil on stretched canvas.
