After being a dedicated Primary Teacher for over 25 years, Heather decided on a change in her career direction. She launched Studio 16 Art in October 2016 to pursue her creative aspiration by experimenting with the mediums of resin and acrylics. Her abstract creations offer a highly charged, concoction of colour and rippling movement. The intensity of her work is witnessed on an almost microscopic level of detail, offering a chance to get lost in the beauty of chaos.
In the past, Heatherโs artwork typically involved exploring portraiture through sketching. Since shifting to a more fluid process, Heather has been able to be led primarily by her creative intuition. Despite the abstract nature of her work, there is always an underlying theme derived from her deep connection with the natural environment.
