A piece I painted a while back. It represents the love of a pet and time that never stops flowing .. like a river. Trying to hold onto our pets forever but in the end we know that nothing lasts forever.
Time keeps flowing like a river

Artist Bio
Hello there my name is Heidi and I’m happy to have this opportunity to show my work here on Bluethumb! I hope you enjoy it.
A little about myself, I was originally born in Carlton Victoria, moved to Canada when I was only 8 years old. I remember how traumatic it was for myself and my 3 siblings, I remember clearly not wanting to go! It was a huge life change for our family. Brrrrr!!!
I have always loved creating and started drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil. My favorite subject was my mother whom I was very close to, I started painting with water colours at the age of 8 I think, and as I grew into my teens I experimented with oils and remembered that I did not have the patience for them! So I discovered acrylics and found my new favourite medium:) yay!
I have always loved culture and have travelled many times to Europe and the Mediterranean to meet family as my parents originated from Germany and Malta. I have been inspired by all of the wonderful people and places I have seen.
After the traumatic loss of my mother, I felt that I needed a big change in my life I decided to take a trip back to my homeland of Oz. In 2015, I then decided that this is where I wanted to be! A beautiful country that is always alive unlike Canada , where we have cold, baron, stark, grey long winters that last 6 months, I needed out!! As I am truly affected by weather and nature! I am a sensitive type lol
I have been painting most of my life, and I have shown my work in numerous galleries in Toronto Canada.
I truly enjoy getting lost in my paints and creating whatever comes to mind. I mostly enjoy creating modern art. I have experimented with many different styles but my favorite will always be abstract. I love using bright bold colours, but also love black and white!
I hope that you have enjoyed my small gallery here and if you have any questions or would like a custom piece please don’t hesitate to message me
Cheers!
Heidi :)
