My recent body of work was undertaken during our lockdown in NSW. The theme of the work became centrally focussed on the concept of personal isolation and a very real sense of missing companionship from friends and family. Not just as part of a social scene, but in the fullness of time in solitude, namely ‘In The Hours Of The Day’. The loss of personal intimacy became something that I wanted to communicate through the work and developed into what I hoped would capture a nostalgic, dream-like sense of human emotion and longing.
