Artwork Description

Scotland, particularly the Isle of Skye, is steeped in myths, secrets, and breathtaking wonders. For me, visiting this enchanting destination was the highlight of my last trip—it truly took my breath away. One place that left an indelible mark was the Fairy Glen, often affectionately referred to as "Teletubbies Land." My painting captures the view as you approach this magical spot. To evoke the whimsical charm of the landscape, I included a Highland cow in the foreground, perfectly complementing the scene's mystical allure.
There will be 4 paintings in my little series about Isle of Sky, each depicting another typical Scottish animal.

This one-of-a-kind painting comes beautifully presented in a white floating frame, ready to hang and enjoy. A certificate of authenticity will also accompany the artwork, adding to its uniqueness and value.

Artist Bio

In 1988, Heidi fell in love with Australia’s laid-back lifestyle and breathtaking natural landscapes after migrating from Zürich, Switzerland. Drawn to the country’s vast openness and striking beauty, she began exploring and interpreting its unique environments through art. Her work, primarily in oil paintings and more recently in mixed media, reflects her deep connection to the world around her.

Now based in Brisbane/Meanjin, Heidi finds inspiration in the leafy bushlands and vibrant wildlife surrounding her home. Her art melds these local landscapes with her experiences from diverse countries and cultures, bringing her immense joy. Embracing the ever-changing nature of life, she weaves its various facets into her constantly evolving artistic expressions. Each piece is imbued with emotional and sentimental depth, and her latest series explores themes of spirit animals and ancient, sacred landscapes encountered during her travels.

Heidi paints most days in her home studio, but she also treasures time spent immersed in nature. Particularly drawn to rivers and waterways, she seeks out their deep, ancient energies, often sketching on-site to capture the essence of these places for future works. Her art is a celebration of life, connection, and the profound beauty of the natural world.
