Artwork Description

I saw these two men when visiting Sydney for the harbourside light show known as Vivid. They were looking out across the Harbour lost in thought despite the bright lights and people around them. There was a sense of calm and reflection. I was immediately drawn to their image and the sense that you don't need bright lights to find what you are looking for, just the serenity of the moment. The painting shows Sydney Harbour by night with beautiful reflections dancing on the water. The sandstone wall is bathed in light. This painting would suit any room as it is calming and interesting. It is dark in colour but it is lifted by the highlights and would fit into any colour scheme. The use of oil paint and soft brushes allows me to blend the colours and keep the painting surface smooth.
