I am an intuitive artist living in Tasmania. My art journey began in 2014 after experiencing several losses in my life. Art became a form of therapy, a space of solace, as well as a source of enlightenment. Seeking answers through art became a daily practice. It became my way of communicating with the unseen. I express what I receive in colour, shapes & word dialogue.
Creating art has become my greatest joy and form of inspiration.
I create inspired by inner visions, feelings, and ideas. This process activates an inner knowing, a curiosity, which I access though colour play, patterns, designs and shapes. As the art progresses I explore and express what I feel onto the canvas. The art is birthed piece by piece, each step, each mark born & expressed in the moment. I see each piece as a gift. Once complete I sit with it, and read its interpretation through visuals & internal dialogue. This way of interpretation brings insight, & clarity. It completes the “jigsaw” of colour and shapes. It is an important step of my creative process. Ive found that many resonate to the interpretation as much as the art itself… sometimes more so…
My style is for the most part abstract, yet at times it falls into other categories. Some see paradoxes within my style. All is intermixed in a way that leaves one wondering, and I feel this is by design, though not on purpose or with intent.
My art is an internal exploration. Each piece is a journey in self discovery. It explores infinite possibilities and landscapes. The act of creating is a dance with the unconscious, weaving into the physical colour and shapes,. I love exploring this inner world through my imagination.
I have no formal art degree. I create from a child like perspective, within a space of endless possibilities. There are no rules to follow other than to paint or draw in the moment what I’m seeing or feeling intuitively.
The insights I receive while creating art may be a little esoteric. That is my practice and journey as an intuitive artist. I create pieces that inspire an internal curiosity. I enjoy being in a state of playful wonder.
My goal is to create art that uplifts, enlightens and inspires curiosity.
