I love to paint and draw foliage and I have always had a thing for drawing big cats too. I really enjoy to play with free flowing and 'moving' brush strokes and let the painting almost make itself. I feel the freedom creates a beauty of its own. Patterns play a big part in all of work - I love the aesthetic it adds to a piece.
Quirk has always been my thing too - I've never taken myself seriously :)
This tiger was originally meant to look fierce and scary but in the end he ended up with this goofy smile, which I'm really happy with. It's light-heartedness makes me happy. Hence the name - ' I Tried To Be Scary'
This painting looks so much better in the flesh! The vibrant colours are so rich against the violet-black background, it gives such a great pop.
'Tried to Be Scary' is professionally framed in an elegant, black floating frame that really finishes the piece of beautifully.
