Outside my studio is a large pandanus tree that has been in my family since it was a seedling. One morning, I was in the studio prepping a canvas and suddenly noticed how the window beautifully framed this tree. On a whim, with no prior sketches, I whipped the paints out and just decided to paint. I felt compelled to highlight the pandanus tree's natural geometric shapes.

With loose and unforced brush strokes, I wanted to create movement and a relaxed vibe. I really like to experiment with my paintings and am guided a lot by how I feel at the time, I hope you enjoy my work.

This is painted onto a stretched canvas that is ready to hang and has been professionally framed in a stunning, oak, floating frame.
