Artwork Description

Framed in Tasmanian Oak

A modern, abstracted landscape painting that captures the rock formations along the wattle tree ridges of Girraween National Park near Stanthorpe.
Spring rains fill the pink granite boulder hollows with clear, blue water…..a landscape like no other!
Palette knife and textured brush strokes make the rocks come to life and yellow wattle in full bloom stand as sentinels on the long ridges, with the valley and mountains beyond.
Whimsical, reimagined and original, you will love this framed, quintessentially Australian scene on a wall at home.

A signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Free freight within Australia.

Artist Bio

Hello and welcome to my eclectic gallery of contemporary artworks.

My art is about essence and feeling with playful colour inspiration provided by the beautiful flowing colours of professional quality acrylic paints.

Stylised brush strokes and original contemporary design are used to create modern day, one off artworks, with a little bit of paradise added!

They are whimsical artworks with a difference, painted with no reference to any previous artworks or artists……just as the “Old Masters” were fixated on reinterpreting their time and place in the art world.

Painting is an interpretive expression of a deep connection with this world around me…..wide open spaces that have been home to five generations of my family……proud farmers and builders who cleared the land, built homes, schools and roads for future benefit of all.

I create from my studio in Brisbane, and exhibit in major Art Exhibitions throughout the year. The Doyles Art Awards is a prestigious Art Exhibition on the Gold Coast and again I was chosen as a Finalist for 2026.

You will see a selection of my paintings at The Tower Art Show, The Brookfield Art Show, The Royal National Show in Brisbane, Toowoomba Grammar School and Downlands Art Exhibition with many artworks selling.

Travels all around Australia, including to Perth on the Indian Pacific, caravanning and seaside holidays inspire artworks featured in my gallery.

I was the feature artist at the historic Woodlands of Marburg with my artworks lining all of the walls of their Tommy Smith Cafe and Conference Rooms with Brisbane Cafes hanging and selling my artworks.

Impressions of vibrant, colourful landscapes, lavender fields, jacarandas, poincianas, mango and fig trees, outback bottle trees, wattles, wetlands, pandanus and she oaks all tell their stories on canvas with stylised brush strokes and palette knife textures applied.

Every artwork is intentionally created to be unique. No artificial intelligence is used in my creations. I commence a painting with a white canvas and create by freehand…..my muses are nature, changing landscapes, sunshine, new beginnings and memories.

Please scroll my large collection of SOLD artworks as commissions are welcome and prints can be discussed.
