Artwork Description

Australian Outback bottle tree and grass tree painting with brush stroke and palette knife textures.

The Outback Bottle Tree Collection has been very popular with my collectors because, as a body of work, it is unique, creative, joyful and absolutely Australian. Now held in Corporate Collections in Brisbane, around Australia and overseas, capturing the essence of the Outback!

My paintings are always about creating modern, non traditional Outback landscapes, capturing snapshots of countryside, untouched, way out there.

I have had the privilege to explore Roma and Mitchell while visiting relatives and their farmer friends…..land of the bottle tree, wattle and emu!

They helped to build these outback towns and the long, winding country roads that enable sharing of our beautiful land by those who love it and to explore these quiet, outback places…..creating special memories and a lifetime of inspiration.

A signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Painted wrap around gallery edges extend the view.

A statement artwork that brings the Outback home!

Free freight within Australia.

Artist Bio

Hello and welcome to my eclectic gallery of contemporary artworks.

My art is about essence and feeling with playful colour inspiration provided by beautiful flowing colours of professional quality acrylic paints.

Stylised brush strokes and original contemporary design are used to create modern day, one off artworks!

They are whimsical artworks with a difference, painted with no reference to any previous artworks or artists……just as the “Old Masters” were fixated on reinterpreting their time and place in the art world.

Painting is an interpretive expression of a deep connection with this world around me…..wide open spaces that have been home to five generations of my family……proud farmers and builders who cleared the land, built homes, schools and roads for future benefit of all.

I create from my studio in Brisbane, and exhibit in major Art Exhibitions throughout the year. The Doyles Art Awards is a prestigious Art Exhibition on the Gold Coast and again I was chosen as a Finalist for 2025.

You will see a selection of my paintings at The Tower Art Show, The Brookfield Art Show, The Royal National Show in Brisbane, Toowoomba Grammar School and Downlands Art Exhibition with many artworks selling.

Travels all around Australia, including to Perth on the Indian Pacific, caravanning and seaside holidays inspire artworks featured in my gallery

Impressions of vibrant, colourful landscapes, lavender fields, jacarandas, poincianas, mango and fig trees, outback bottle trees, wattles, wetlands, pandanus and she oaks all tell their stories on canvas with stylised brush strokes and palette knife textures applied.

Every artwork is intentionally created to be unique. No artificial intelligence is used in my creations. I commence a painting with a white canvas and create by freehand…..my muses are nature, changing landscapes, sunshine, new beginnings and memories.
