Wonder Ponder explores the sensory experience of light, place and belonging, in painting. Suspended between landscape and abstraction, it draws upon the sense of expansive and ephemeral light by the sea. Allegorical to this sensory experience, Wonder Ponder draws parallels between the Nordic and Australian light and environment. It enquires rather than illustrates and invites us to connect with our own sensory perception and imagination. When our senses are ignited, we wonder and ponder, and become more reflectively aware of ourselves, of others and of the environment. In this way new meaning, connection and relationships will unfold.
