Before the words. Before the sound. There is a current that runs between two people — felt, not seen, heard only in the space where silence lives.
What Connects Us is painted in that current. Three great wave arcs sweep horizontally across a deep black canvas in teal, dark green and white, their edges textured and alive. Gold scatters through the dark spaces between them — not decorating, but insisting. Something runs through everything here. Something holds.
The forms suggest geological strata, ocean ripples, sound waves — all the ways that invisible forces make themselves visible when you know how to look.
Part of the Before the Silence collection — three large origin pieces exploring what exists in the space before sound becomes language.
