Auction Day is a vibrant, expressionistic work capturing the heightened tension of an anticipation-filled room. A tightly packed crowd of abstract, elongated figures fills the canvas, their faces a study in anxiety and intense focus with wide, darting blue eyes. The composition uses fragmented geometric planes and raw, bold brushwork in a rich palette of deep reds, ochres, teal, and blacks creating a sense of restless energy.

Henza Taj is an emerging self taught abstract artist based in Geelong, Victoria. The artwork is inspired by creating paintings of faces or similar, that attract and entice the wonders of obscured expression through experimental brush strokes and colour.
A distinctive style could best describe the paintings by conveying human emotion and interest.
Practising art at a later stage of life, was a natural transition into painting. Capturing his own style through life experiences, tells the story that empowers a solid, but obscured journey through the brush strokes onto canvas.
