I was born in Holland The Hague,
After finishing my formal education in The Hague, I went on to attend Art School, first in De Haagse Academie voor Beeldende Kunst, then later De Haagse Vrije Academie, I then went on to study in The Regent College of Art in London.
Being inspired by such art styles as, Surrealism, Dadaism, Magic realism and stimulated by people in society, Culture, Music and Art, traveling became one of my passions. I journeyed and lived extensively throughout Europe and Asia. After having lived in Paris, London, New York, and Antwerp, I took up residence on the East Coast of Australia where I now live and have worked for 46 years.
My studies and fascination with the Indigenous culture, along with the stimulating wonders of nature and the magic of its vastness led me to the tribal women in the desert of Ernabella in the Northern Territory, Australia. I worked and lived amongst the women there and shared knowledge of each other’s crafts and culture.
My Passion is to show how beautiful and interesting the world really is so I paint fleeting moments of memory, nature, dreams, different places and culture.
I am also interested into changing reality into a positive experience.
My work is Acrylic on Canvas, I try to bring to the viewer a positive energy with colour and subject matter.
