Here, Magritte's painting was reappropriated by changing the clouds to the image of the Napalm Girl photograph taken by Nick Ut during the Vitenam War in order to showcase the trauma experienced by the civilians. This photo is a stark and harrowing representation of the human cost of armed conflicts. It has become a symbol of the suffering and tragedy experienced by innocent civilians, especially children, in war zones. The pupil of the eye is changed to an-ti-war images such as Picasso's "Guer-nica" and "Child with a Dove" in order to show humanity's desire for peace.
