The Tower VI is one in a series of paintings inspired by summers spent at public swimming pools in Australia. The diver is caught about to take flight, her body both complementing and contrasting the brutalism of the concrete structure she is leaving.
I'm a Melbourne-based artist concentrating on modernist images with an Australian vibe behind universal subject matter.
Mainly working with oils I like to keep the canvas simple, usually with one or two people in a sparse urban landscape.
