This piece is about unintended consequences. To invent, adopt, and embrace new technologies that help us in the short term without any thought to their long term consequences. I feel that we end up in a situation similar to that of the old woman who swallowed the fly, whereby we keep introducing new things to solve the problems caused by the previous things and getting ourselves into bigger and bigger problems.
