Ladybug Love

The artwork is bright and fun. The bright, bold pink flowers take up most of the canvas sitting on a light patterned green background. On top of the flowers sits some ladybugs hence the name.
Lady beetles are used because they are the ‘lucky’ beetle and while some people are scared of all other bugs are quite happy with a lady beetle landing on them =)

My work is inspired by my love for textiles; colour, texture and pattern is abundant in the work.
It is playful and my intention is to bring joy to those who view it!
Through the textile elements there is also a connection to the strong females who have inspired me throughout my life most notably my mother and her mother.
