Professionally I started out as an architectural illustrator, where I developed my interest in detail. I started with pen and ink illustrations, then moved on to watercolour and gouache.

I have a strong interest in natural landscape, human-made landscape, portraiture and animal life. Most of my work is representational, but I like to keep an open mind about abstract art, to try and keep my work fresh.
