Despite the terrible cost in the loss of lives, homes, fauna and environment, I discovered a morbid beauty in the fire-ravaged landscape.
My paintings, although rarely 'realistic', are essentially landscapes. There are no fixed viewpoints.
I look for new ways to depict both the external and internal landscapes.
I am influenced by Aboriginal art, Cubism, digital photography, Hubble deep field, maps, and archaeological ground radar scanning.
