Artwork Description

"Disordered Order" is a cityscape painting that figuratively interprets the juxtaposition between the highly controlled environment of a single building and the chaotic visual effect of their accumulation in a city setting. The painting captures the essence of urban life by highlighting the contrast between the meticulous design of individual structures and the overwhelming, disordered appearance they create when viewed collectively. Through this interplay, "Disordered Order" reflects on the complexity and dynamism of metropolitan landscapes.

Artist Bio

I like to think I'm a bit reclusive with a no-nonsense approach and not a lot of tolerance for the negative side of society. Residing in Australia for the past 26 years and now taking more time for myself and to share selected pieces, my preferred medium is oil on canvas with works ranging in size. The abstract style lets the artwork develop instinctively and I use various color themes to reflect my mood, the freedom of this style is why I prefer it. The results generally have emerging messages within the images that I encouraging viewers to discover and I could say that the pieces serve as visual commentaries on society, aiming to provoke reflection and contemplation in the audience, but ultimately, the viewer will either be drawn to them or not.
