The story behind this painting is described in the title, letting go of all preconceived ideas and just let my brushes and palette knife do the talking. This is still part of my ‘Joy of colour’ series where I like to explore colour relationships and shapes with an overall feeling of optimism.
This painting took me quite a long time to create as there are lots of layers piled up to realise the final outcome.
There is a coat of varnish applied to protect the painting and to increase the colour saturation.
The canvas is wired and ready to hang.The edges are finished with a toning colour and the painting is unframed. There is a photo showing what it might look like framed in your room if that is your preference.
These beautiful colours would lift any room.
