Textural Elements #11 is the latest in this series showing my journey into the power of abstraction with a sense of presence asking the viewer to engage and connect with my joyous vision. My compositional placement of shapes and colours using opaque and transparent pigments allows some of the various layers to show what lies beneath and working with textural media increases the tactile nature of the painting.
Enjoy the descriptive exploration of design motifs weaving, overlapping and connecting with supportive backgrounds that feeds my fascination with colour relationships to create a whole that is more than just the sum of its parts.
The artwork, to some, may look like a cacophony or mishmash of hues thrown together in a random manner but I expend a lot of energy, with careful consideration, melding all the pieces of this ‘jigsaw puzzle’ into a cohesive manifestation of what I feel about the colour relationships and overall design with a sprinkling of ‘magical experimentation’ in abstraction.
