Ignacio Marin is an Argentine painter based on the Gold Coast, working mainly in oil on canvas. His work looks at the everyday — objects, streets, hinterland edges — through the eye of someone who arrived from somewhere else. Familiar scenes are painted slightly off, slightly strange. He also works in mural and life drawing, and paints from a studio at Mints Art Gallery.
