Ilkay is a self-taught abstract artist born in Istanbul, Turkey. She has moved to Sydney, Australia in 2016 as an engineer in search of a bit of an adventure, and better quality of life. In Sydney, she discovered her passion for colours and story telling through abstract forms.

She has started painting initially with acrylic in 2021, and since exhibited internationally including Sydney and Paris.
